I've delved into one of Anne-Marie's (Mazed) previous Role-Plays revolving around 'God Wars' that is similar in nature to RuneScape's lore. I've taken to rewriting improvements and drastically expanding this Role-Play plot to something much more unique, with her permission of course.

Regardless of whether or not Role-Playing dies on this website, I'll be pressing ahead on completing this project. Would anybody be interested in having some input?

Well it's basically still in the concept stage, but I've taken Anne-Marie's idea where the Dwarves had created immensely powerful objects called Gonthusmeer, which had enough power of some kind to allow any being in possession of it to ascend to Godhood. In her realm Gods are not entirely immortal, they can only be slain by Gonthusmeer weaponry. There are no details of how Gonthusmeer allow individuals this kind of untamed power, so it can only be assumed that these items have magical properties. If you follow the lore of most dwarves, they don't focus on magic as much as they do steampunk-like technology. So this begs the question of whether the weaponry was the brainchild of one or multiple races, but that's a rather simple question to answer based on how lore is formed.

But the main plot of the story revolves around an expedition into 'The Void' by a group of adventurers, once a massive empire controlled by the God Koste. The landscape was utterly devastated, once being fertile farmland and swamps that were turned into sheer stone faces with an occasional rare oasis of land that was spared from the destruction. The destruction was caused by the Kostian God Wars, which lasted for centuries when individuals found the long lost Gonthusmeer were discovered and individuals rose to Godhood and began to combat each other. The God Wars ultimately ended when Koste utilized one of the more powerful Gonthusmeer weaponry, devastating his empire and killing all the Gods and their armies fighting except for Koste. Koste then took the weaponry to a long lost location and was presumed to commit suicide with one of them, guarding them with his spirit.

Most of the other details are still be hammered out, especially the lore, and I'm also waiting to add some unique twists once I've finished the lore.
