Bits and pieces of the things that I write Empty Bits and pieces of the things that I write

I wrote this set of haiku last night while stressed. I fixed a few of the syllable issues.

A Land of Gold

The moon sets aglow
Lands of thin golden strands
Wind shushing quietly

Crickets sing loudly
The silver light fades away
It will not be long.

Day replaces night
The sun's light awakens men
Time to go to work.

Roosters crow at dawn
Scythes trimming the golden grain
But there's many strands.

Each a test of strength
Standing against gravity
But falling to blades.
